Owners, Dan and Nicole

Together Dan and Nicole Stack have over thirty-six years of construction and design experience working in residential and commercial markets in Central New York. They have a passion for creating beautiful spaces while being mindful of the environment and resources. Their work experience includes planning and construction of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified Platinum buildings.

Dan has a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Construction Management and Wood Sciences. He has worked on high-end residential construction projects in Central New York for over twenty years. His projects include some of the most prestigious homes along Skaneateles Lake. Dan has a fantastic eye for detail and commitment to quality ensures craftsmanship that will last for years to come.

Nicole has a bachelor's in Fine Arts in Interior Design from Cazenovia College and experience in both commercial and residential design. She has also worked as an adjunct Instructor for Onondaga Community College -SUNY and Cazenovia College, teaching kitchen and bath design fundamentals, and materials and finishes.

Our Home

In 2010 Dan and Nicole purchased a farmhouse built in 1796 in the quiet setting of Shepard's Settlement. They have poured their talents into restoring their home’s original character while creating functionality for a modern family.

Home Design Philosophy

We create thoughtful and livable spaces. We get to know our customers so that we can design and construct a space that works for them. Part of good design is to make sure that everything has its place and the space is being used efficiently. Part of good construction is making sure the craftsmanship and quality are top priorities as well as ease of use for the homeowner.

Dan and Nicole’s services are available together or separately. Dan is a homebuilder and remodeler. He can work with a client and architect from the ground up on additions, remodels, and new construction. Nicole’s design services are offered together with Dan's craftsmanship or available as separate services for clients with a working relationship with a separate contractor. She will work with clients to understand their needs and design tastes to create floor plans, elevations, and 3D models of their space. She can facilitate selecting quality materials appropriate for the space.

Two Design-Build Talents

Dan and Nicole both bring their unique and separate talents together to create spaces with a timeless feel, which will last for generations. Although Dan's strengths are building and creating with his hands and Nicole's talents exist mostly on the drafting table, you can often find Dan sketching details and plans and Nicole grouting tiles, painting, and on occasion, mudding sheetrock when needed.
